Group Volunteering Opportunities

The only thing better than volunteering for a cause is to volunteer for a cause with others! Volunteering is an incredibly positive way of giving part of yourself and to have a great time as well! The BEAT program relies on thousands of volunteers each year to help construct modestly priced homes for deserving families and individuals. These volunteer help BEAT to control the cost of labor associated with each new home and in turn allows BEAT to provide these homes at such a low cost.
“I’d like to volunteer, but I can not physically do construction work. Can I still help?”
Absolutely!! Groups need organizers and coordinators. How will they eat? What about transportation? What about inspiration!? Even if construction is not for you, come down to the site and be a part of it! You, and your friends or co-workers, will be glad you did.
If your organization or group is interested in volunteering with the BEAT program, please email us at beat@beat-ecif.org or call the BEAT office directly at (205) 780-4397.
Also, if you are interested in volunteering with direct services to our communities neediest, please reach out to Greater Birmingham Ministries (GBM). GBM has a 35 year history of providing food, clothing and financial assistance to those in need. To learn more about GBM, please visit their website or call (205) 326-6821.
