Rev. Ronald E. Nored
Rev. Ronald E. Nored was a co-founder of Bethel-Ensley Action Task, Inc. and its Executive Director from 1990 until his death in the Fall of 2003. Ron was that special kind of person that could engage, challenge, lead, and teach, all while making those around him want to get further involved with whatever it was that he was teaching, challenging, or leading you towards. The gravity that emanated from him brought together many new friends and unlikely new partnerships, all in the name of social justice.
The BEAT project is a nationally recognized community redevelopment model that has successfully revitalized the SandyVista neighborhood of Enlsey, brought light and hope to those that live there, and inspired the thousands of individuals that have given voluntarily of themselves and taken part in BEAT’s ongoing journey. Ron’s loving memory continues to challenge BEAT towards its mission everyday and our thoughts and prayers are continuously with his wonderful wife Linda and loving family, Ronald and Randall.
