The BEAT model is based upon the belief that community empowerment is the most effective way of rebuilding and revitalizing a neighborhood. The BEAT program began with no money, no land, no supporters, and no staff. What it did have was a clear vision and the belief that it could make changes happen. If you are interested in learning more about how BEAT was able to move from ideas to actions, please contact the BEAT organization. We would love to assist you in organizing your community, setting up workshops, or simply tell you more the possibilities of community redevelopment through community empowerment!
