Accomplishments
To date, BEAT and the residents of the Ensley community have accomplished much, including:

- Constructed 36 new homes and redeveloped an entire neighborhood
- Obtained commitments and investments of more than $2 million dollars of public and private funding towards the revitalization of a once forgotten community
- Created the Sandy Vista Residents Association, the primary vehicle for organizing residents to make decisions that affect their everyday lives, and the most significant element in terms long-term redevelopment sustainability
- Secured investments of more than $1.5 million in infrastructure improvements
- Created and incorporated the Ensley Community Issues Forum (ECIF), a brand new not-for-profit organization with the mission of creating economic opportunity for the residents of Ensley
- Delivered on our commitment to the young and old of our community through: senior care, after-school tutoring, a BEAT scholarship program, summer camps, and job placement.
